Hershey's Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1/2 TSP SALT
1 CUP SOFTENED BUTTER
3/4 CUP SUGAR
3/4 CUP LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
2 EGGS
2 CUPS SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 CUP OPTIONAL CHOPPED NUTS

HEAT OVEN TO 375*
STIR FLOUR, BAKING SODA & SALT.
BEAT BUTTER, SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR & VANILLA UNTIL CREAMY.
ADD EGGS; BEAT WELL.
STIR IN CHIPS & NUTS.
DROP BY ROUNDED TSP ON BAKING SHEET.
BAKE 8-10 MINUTES.
YIELDS ABOUT 5 DOZEN COOKIES.

PAN RECIPE:
SPREAD COOKIE BATTER INTO GREASED 15 1/2*10 1/2*1 PAN AND BAKE FOR 20 MIN.
YIELDS ABOUT 4 DOZEN BARS.
